Should I subtract windows and doors?
Yes, especially for larger openings, but small openings may be left in to provide extra material.
Does this include trim?
No. J-channel, starter strips, corner posts and other trim should be planned separately.
Why add waste?
Cuts, laps and layout can require extra siding beyond the net wall area.
